For those who are unfamiliar with screenprinting.
Traditional screenprinting is based on "how many colours are in an image."
First off, we take a JPEG image, "Vectorize" it. Depending on the level of detail, vectorization can take a few hours-days.
Once Vectored, we separate the vectored image into separated colours.
Each individual colour gets printed out onto a special sheet of vellum from our special printer with our special software.
(In the image you can see multiple designs being printed on the clear vellum.)
The multiple designs on the vellum(s) will be cut and separated to be put on their very own screen.
(We use a T- square and clear tape to Secure our vellum to the screen.)
1 colour = 1 screen
*Keep in mind our screens are coated with a thin layer of dried photopolymer emulsion
Finally, we expose our vellum attached screens to UV light.
Then rinse with water and viola!
We have our stencil for printing 1000's of garments!
Simulated Process Printing is a unique color separation technique used in screen printing to create photorealistic images using spot colours mixed with halftones.
You will be blown away when you see your finished product!
4 colour process is almost identical to Simulated Process Printing.
However, 4 colour process only uses halftones. Also is meant for white/light garments.
We strictly use the 4 primary colours; Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black
other wise known as CMYK!
